Before you enter card details anywhere, you want to know who you're paying, what you'll be charged, what happens next and how to stop. This page answers those questions for Fuentio's paid plans, plainly.

The short version: Fuentio takes payments through Creem. Creem is our merchant of record. It runs the checkout, charges your card, sends you the invoice and handles VAT. After you pay, we email your paid API key within 24 hours. You can cancel any time, and questions go to hello@fuentio.com.

What Creem does is described on Creem's own public pages, linked below; the rules for your plan are in our terms and refund policy.

What you'll learn

  • The plans and their monthly prices
  • What a merchant of record is, and what Creem does for you
  • The payment steps, from the pricing page to your paid key
  • What you'll see on your card statement and invoice
  • How to cancel, ask for a refund, or get help

The plans and prices

All paid plans are monthly, in euros. These are the plans on our pricing page:

PlanPriceUnits
Free€0100 a month
Starter€49 a month2,000 a month
Growth€149 a month10,000 a month
Founding Partner€149 a month20,000 a month (first 10 customers, price locked 12 months)
Business€499 a month50,000 a month
Compliance€999 a month100,000 a month

VAT may apply on top, depending on where you are: Creem calculates it at checkout. Enterprise plans are custom: write to us. If you're not sure which plan fits, see what a unit is and which plan fits. The pricing page is the reference if anything here ever differs from it.

What "merchant of record" means

When you buy a Fuentio plan, the legal seller of the transaction is Creem, not Fuentio. That is what a merchant of record (MoR) is. In Creem's own words, a merchant of record is "the legal entity responsible for selling goods or services to end customers", and when customers buy through Creem, "they are technically buying from us as the Merchant of Record".

According to Creem's documentation, as merchant of record Creem handles:

  • payment processing: the checkout page and the card charge;
  • sales tax and VAT: calculating, collecting and paying it to the tax authorities;
  • invoices: compliant invoices sent to you;
  • refunds and chargebacks.

For you, that means one checkout, one invoice with the right VAT, and one company responsible for the payment. For us, it means we never see or store your card number: the card details go to Creem's checkout, not to Fuentio.

How to pay, step by step

  1. Go to the pricing page and choose a plan.
  2. Click the plan's subscribe button. It opens Creem's secure checkout page for that plan.
  3. Enter your email and card details on Creem's page. Creem calculates any VAT that applies for your location.
  4. Confirm the payment. Creem charges your card and emails you a receipt.
  5. Receive your paid API key. We email your paid API key within 24 hours of the payment, to the email address you paid with.

If you're new to the API, the API quickstart shows a first call in a few lines.

What you'll see afterwards

  • A receipt by email from Creem, with the product, the amount and the date.
  • An invoice from Creem as merchant of record, with VAT handled according to your location.
  • A line on your card statement showing Creem rather than Fuentio. Creem's help page explains that charges appear as "CREEM.IO* STORE".
  • Your order on Creem's site. Creem lets customers look up their orders at creem.io/my-orders with the email address they paid with.

Renewals, cancelling and refunds

  • Monthly renewal. A paid plan is charged in advance for each month, from the day you buy, and renews automatically every month until you cancel.
  • Cancel any time, without giving a reason. Write to hello@fuentio.com from the email address you paid with, and we cancel it for you. Creem's own help pages also describe cancelling a subscription from its order page. Either way, you aren't charged again, and your plan stays active, with its units, until the end of the month you've already paid for.
  • Refunds. You can ask for a full refund within 14 days of any payment, for any reason, including each monthly renewal. Write to hello@fuentio.com and we ask Creem to refund you; the money goes back to the card you used. The details are in our refund policy.
  • Price changes. If we ever change a plan's price, we tell you by email before the new price applies to you, and you can cancel before it does.
  • Founding Partner. The price is locked for 12 months. That's a promise about the price, not a commitment to stay: you can cancel it like any other plan.

Paying for a team

If several people use Fuentio, one paid plan covers your organisation: pay once with a company card and an email address the team can reach, such as a shared billing inbox. The invoice from Creem goes to that address, and so does your paid API key. Tell us at hello@fuentio.com if you need the key sent to someone else.

Before you pay: try it free

You don't need to pay to see whether Fuentio fits. The free check needs no account, the free list check checks up to 20 companies, the keyless trial gives 20 units a day, and a free key gives 100 units a month. Upgrade when your volume needs it. See what we cover.
