Company data APIs are often priced in ways you can't predict: per record returned, per field, per "credit" whose cost depends on the answer, or behind "contact sales". You should be able to estimate your bill before you write a line of code. This page explains how Fuentio is priced, unit by unit, and how to size a plan from your own volume.

Prices and rules as of 10 October 2026, from our pricing page. Payments aren't open yet.

Short answer: Fuentio counts units. A lookup is 1 unit, a name search 2 units, the coverage list is free, and errors are free except "not found" on a well-formed number (1 unit, because it's a real answer). Plans are monthly, in euros: Free (100 units), Starter €49 (5,000), Growth €149 (20,000), Business €499 (100,000), and Founding Partner €99 (20,000, for the first 10 customers, price locked for 12 months). No overage charges: at the limit, calls stop with a clear message.

What you'll learn

  • What a unit is, and which calls cost nothing
  • The plans, and what differs between them
  • What happens at your limit
  • How to estimate your monthly units
  • What you get on every plan

What is a unit?

CallUnits
Lookup by identifier (SIREN, SIRET, VAT, Spanish registry sheet)1
Search by name2
Coverage list0
Invalid identifier, rate limited, quota exceeded, source down0
Not found, on a well-formed number1

The price of a call never depends on what the answer contains: a lookup costs 1 unit whether the company has two officers or twenty. That's what makes the bill predictable. "Not found" costs 1 unit because it's a real answer from the official source: the register has no public record for that number.

Which plans are there?

Prices are in euros; VAT may apply. Every plan includes the same official data and the source stamp on every answer: plans differ in how many units you use each month and how fast you can call. Without a key, you'll be able to try the API at 20 units a day; a free key raises that to 100 units a month.

What happens at the limit?

Calls stop with a clear quota_exceeded message until your quota resets: on the 1st of each month for a free key, on your billing date for a paid plan. You can move to a bigger plan at any time. There are no overage charges, so a bug in a loop can't turn into a surprise invoice.

Plans are monthly. When you cancel, you aren't charged again, and your plan stays active until the end of the month you've paid for. You can ask for a refund within 14 days of any payment.

How do you estimate your units?

Count the calls your process makes, not the companies:

  • Onboarding with an identifier: 1 lookup per new customer = 1 unit.
  • Onboarding with only a name: 1 search (2 units) + 1 lookup once the customer confirms (1 unit) = 3 units.
  • Periodic re-checks: 1 lookup per company per check.

Worked example: 400 new business customers a month, half of them typing only a name, plus a quarterly re-check of 3,000 existing customers:

  • 200 × 1 + 200 × 3 = 800 units for onboarding;
  • 3,000 ÷ 3 = 1,000 units a month for re-checks, spread over the quarter;
  • about 1,800 units a month: the Starter plan (5,000) covers it with room to spare.

Validating identifiers before calling (check digits) costs nothing and avoids wasted lookups. See how we identify a company.

How to compare company data API prices

When you compare offers, normalise them to the same question: what will 1,000 checks of my kind cost me, and what do I get for each? Ask every provider, including us:

  • What is a unit? A call, a record, a field, a page of results?
  • Does the price depend on the answer? If a record with more officers costs more, your bill depends on your customers, not on your usage.
  • What costs nothing? Errors, typos, coverage questions, retries after an outage?
  • What happens at the limit? A hard stop, or overage charges you discover on the invoice?
  • Is the source on every answer? If it isn't, you'll pay again in compliance work to reconstruct it.
  • Is the price public? If every plan says "contact sales", you can't estimate before you build.

For more on evaluating providers, see what to check in a company data API.

Which plan for which team?

  • Free (100 units a month): a developer wiring the API into a prototype, or one person's AI agent.
  • Starter (5,000): a small SaaS or marketplace onboarding up to a few hundred business customers a month, with periodic re-checks.
  • Growth (20,000): a product in production with steady onboarding and regular re-checks of a larger file.
  • Founding Partner (20,000): the same quota as Growth at €99, for the first 10 customers, with the price locked for 12 months and a direct say in the roadmap.
  • Business (100,000): high-volume onboarding or large portfolio re-checks, with custom terms on request.
  • Enterprise: above that, or with specific contractual needs.

What do you get on every plan?

  • France and Spain, from official registers.
  • The same schema for both, with the register's original wording and normalised codes. See normalising company data.
  • Source, licence and check times on every answer. See provenance on every answer.
  • REST and MCP, with the same units.

What we don't charge for, or do

  • No setup fee, no minimum term beyond the month.
  • No price that depends on the answer's content.
  • We count units per key per day for your quota and billing; our technical logs keep the time, status and address of each call, never your search text, and we never sell or use it for marketing.

Payments aren't open yet. Become an early tester for free early access before launch, or reserve a Founding Partner seat from the pricing page.
