Since its launch on 11 October 2026, Fuentio's MCP server has been published in the places where developers and agent builders look for tools. Whichever one you use, it is the same server at https://api.fuentio.com/mcp, the same 17 tools, the same data and the same units. This post lists each place, what you find there, and how to install from it.
What you'll learn
- Where Fuentio is published, and what each listing offers
- The install lines and files every listing shares
- Which listing fits your client
Short answer: Fuentio is on Apify, Smithery, Glama and the official MCP Registry (as com.fuentio/company-data), and its install files are in a public GitHub repository. Every listing points to the same server: https://api.fuentio.com/mcp.
The install line you'll see everywhere
Every listing comes down to the same address. In Claude Code:
claude mcp add --transport http fuentio https://api.fuentio.com/mcp
In Claude Desktop or claude.ai: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector, and paste https://api.fuentio.com/mcp.
In Cursor, or any client that reads a JSON configuration:
{ "mcpServers": { "fuentio": { "url": "https://api.fuentio.com/mcp" } } }
VS Code's own .vscode/mcp.json format:
{ "servers": { "fuentio": { "type": "http", "url": "https://api.fuentio.com/mcp" } } }
With a key, add it as a header:
{ "mcpServers": { "fuentio": { "url": "https://api.fuentio.com/mcp", "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer YOUR_KEY" } } } }
No key is needed to list the tools or to try them: the keyless trial gives 20 units a day. Claude users can follow the step-by-step guide in check French and Spanish companies inside Claude.
The official MCP Registry
The MCP Registry is the open catalogue of MCP servers maintained by the Model Context Protocol project. Fuentio is registered as com.fuentio/company-data, with its remote endpoint https://api.fuentio.com/mcp (streamable HTTP) and an optional API key header. The com.fuentio name is tied to the fuentio.com domain, so you know the entry comes from us.
You can see the entry through the registry's API: registry.modelcontextprotocol.io. Clients and directories that read the registry pick it up from there.
Smithery
Smithery is a directory of MCP servers with a hosted install flow. Fuentio is listed as fuentio/company-data. Its page shows the tools and the install steps for the clients Smithery supports. Smithery connects to the same server, so you can list the tools without a key and add one later.
Glama
Glama lists MCP servers and connectors with their tools and metadata. Fuentio's connector page is glama.ai/mcp/connectors/com.fuentio/company-data. It shows the server's description and tools, and the same remote address.
Apify
Apify is a platform for automation tools, called Actors. Fuentio is published there as Fuentio: France & Spain official company data (MCP). Its listing describes it as: look up, search and verify companies in France and Spain from official registries, with every answer citing its source and check date. Apify users can run it from their Apify account.
The public GitHub repository
The repository THEMAGNET-NICHEP-Lab/fuentio-mcp holds the install files that clients and directories read:
- a README with the install lines above;
mcp.json, the JSON configuration for Cursor and similar clients;gemini-extension.json, so Gemini CLI can install it withgemini extensions installand the repository's URL;llms-install.md, which Cline follows when you ask it to install the server;glama.json, the metadata Glama reads.
The documentation and snippets in that repository are MIT-licensed. The service and its data are governed by the terms on fuentio.com and the sources' own licences.
Which one should you use?
It doesn't matter for the data: every listing reaches the same server. Pick the one that fits your client:
- Claude, Cursor, VS Code, ChatGPT: paste the URL or the JSON above.
- Gemini CLI or Cline: install from the GitHub repository.
- Browsing for MCP servers: Smithery and Glama show the tools before you install.
- Building on Apify: use the Actor.
- Automated discovery: the MCP Registry entry
com.fuentio/company-data.
What each tool does, in plain words, is in Fuentio is live; every parameter, unit and error is in the docs.
A free key for more
The keyless trial is enough to see how the tools behave. For regular use, a free key gives 100 units a month, one per person, no card. Get your free key, then add it as the Authorization: Bearer header in your client.
Limits, wherever you install from
- France and Spain only.
- No data about people: no person's name appears in any answer.
- No Spanish NIF or CIF lookup: search by name.
- Spanish records cover companies with a BORME act since 2009; their status is “unknown” unless an act says otherwise.
- No annual accounts.
